My Speech

In my speech I want to talk about the changes in the environment that have taken place because of many reasons. Also I want to motivate you to support organizations and projects that try to save the environment.

My first example are the toads. They migrate every spring from the woods to ponds. And every year many of them die because of the dangerous streets that are on their way. In the last years the number of toads decreased because of this danger. But on some streets people organize fences to save the toads. They carry them to the other side and so less toads die. That’s one example for protection of the environment and animals.

Also a big problem is the destruction of habitats. For example the polar bears. They need the cold poles to live and catch food. But because of the global warming the poles begin to melt and there isn’t enough habitat for them.

Another example are the rainforests. They are important habitats of many plants and animals. But we the human destroy them. We grub the rainforest with its 100 years old trees and make furniture out of it. We destroy important habitats !!!

But not only the animals and plants will suffer because of the changes in the environment. Also we the human. The sea level will rise, hurricanes will be there more often and some continents will be very dry. In the future there will be very much new problems for animals, plants and humans. So lets prevent it all together. Lets start now!

I plan a festival at the end of may for all people of our town. I will name it “Trees for the world” because every person will get a seed for a tree and so we will help the environment. On this festival many projects will be present and I hope many people will be motivate to support them.
